Who are we looking for?

It doesn’t matter if you’re a girl or a boy, a base, backspot, or tumbler. It also doesn’t matter if you’re competing at the lowest or highest level.

We’re looking for athletes who are goal-oriented, ambitious, continuously working on themselves, striving to improve, and giving their all in every training session.

The only requirement is that you are 12 - 25 years old and an active cheerleader in the current season.

What can you gain?

The idea of the program is to discover new talents and support them on their journey to success. The winner of Spirit Star will be rewarded with the best cheerleading gear worth 300 EUR.

We would love to invite the winner to our place for the prize ceremony and also for a photo shoot for our e-shop, if possible. We understand that it might be difficult due to the distance and thus go with an unboxing video, eventually.

We will be happy to continue collaborating with you. We can take photos, shoot videos, and create content for social media together – it will depend on your enthusiasm and passion!

How will the competition proceed?

First, you need to fill out the application form and submit your video by October 23, 2025. This process is handled through a Google form. The video should be vertical (portrait orientation), with a maximum size of 100 MB and a maximum length of 3 minutes. You need a Google account to submit the form with the video.

From all the submitted applications and videos, we will select 3 finalists, and our followers on Instagram will vote to choose their favorite.

What should be in the video?

In the video, show us your skills, including both tumbling and stunts. Feel free to add jumps, motions, flexibility, or anything else that is part of competitive cheerleading. You can also introduce yourself if you like.

Spirit Star Competition Terms

The organizer of the competition is Senta s.r.o., the operator of the SpiritCheer.cz e-shop.
The basic requirement for entering the competition is the complete filling out of the form and submission of the video by October 23, 2025, inclusive. Incomplete or late applications may be excluded from the competition without compensation.
The winner of last year's SpiritStar competition is not eligible to participate.
Competitors for the international version of Spirit Star must live outside of the Czech Republic or Slovakia, longterm.
Competitors enter the competition voluntarily without the right to reimbursement of any costs associated with participation in the competition.
From the submitted applications, the organizer will select 3 to proceed to the final public vote.
The winner of the competition will be chosen based on public voting on the Instagram profile of SpiritCheerEU.
The prize consists of material items, subject to current stock availability. The prize will be awarded in person or shipped to address provided by winner. Prize cannot be exchanged for cash.
The participant agrees to make a video of unboxing the prize in case of shipping the prize over. In case the participant is able to meet the staff of the organizer in a specified location, they can take over the prize personally and take part in the prize ceremony. All transportation costs are covered by the participant.
The organizer reserves the right to modify or clarify the competition rules or to end the competition prematurely.
By participating in the competition, you consent to the processing of your personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data (GDPR). Your personal data will be processed for the purpose of organizing the competition, evaluating the results, and contacting the winners. Furthermore, your personal data, including your name and contact details, may be used for sending marketing information and offers related to our products and services. You may withdraw this consent at any time.

The provided personal data will not be shared with third parties unless you provide explicit consent. Data will be stored for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes of the competition and marketing activities, or until you withdraw your consent. You have the right to request access to your personal data, correction, restriction of processing, or deletion at any time by contacting the competition organizer.
By participating in the competition, you also agree to the publication of the provided audiovisual materials on SpiritCheer.cz's social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) and on the SpiritCheer.cz website.

The second edition - Spirit Star 2025

The second edition of Spirit Star 2025 once again brought together an incredible group of talented and inspiring athletes.

This year, participants joined from across Europe – including Spain and Finland.

After a careful selection process by our judges, three finalists made it to the European finals:
Farré Ferrando Lluc, Kallunki Seela, and Uday Alan.

Following an exciting voting round on our Instagram, the winner of Spirit Star 2025 is Alan Uday!
Read below to learn more about his story and his journey in cheerleading, which inspires athletes all around Europe.

Here’s his cheer story:

I started cheerleading in 2021, and since then, it has become one of the biggest passions in my life. From the very beginning, I fell in love with the energy, teamwork, and discipline that cheer requires. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to grow as an athlete and to represent Spain as part of the National Team.

One of my proudest achievements was earning 3rd place at The Cheerleading Worlds 2025 and winning the Elite Cheerleading Championship (ECC) — both unforgettable experiences that showed me how far dedication and hard work can take you.

My goals now are to keep improving as a cheerleader, inspire others to push their limits, and continue representing my team and country at the highest level.

I believe I should become a Spirit Star because I bring not only skill and passion but also positivity, leadership, and a true love for the sport. I want to share that spirit with others and help make the cheerleading community even stronger.

How did the first year of Spirit Star go?

The very first edition of Spirit Star was a great success!
Amazing and talented athletes from all over Europe joined the program – including participants from the Netherlandsand Spain. After a thrilling final round, the winner became Lissane Penning from the Netherlands.

What’s her connection to cheerleading? Here’s her story in her own words:

My cheer story started 7 years ago. I did some gymnastics before I started cheer, but I never really liked it. Then I saw an Instagram reel of a cheerleading team in Belgium (I myself live in the Netherlands). Since I live relatively close to the border, I decided to check it out and just go to their tryout. I ended up making the team, and that’s when my cheer journey began! I quickly fell in love with the sport, and after 3 years I even made it onto the Dutch National Team. Unfortunately, that was the Covid year, which meant that we couldn’t go anywhere. In 2021, I made the team again, and I’ve been on it ever since. Every year, it’s a huge honor to make the team again. I’m a side base and I also tumble (a bit haha). My goal every year is to be better than I was last year. I think it’s so important to keep challenging myself and my teammates. Cheer is a sport where people often set unrealistic expectations for themselves, because yes – it’s a perfectionist sport. But that doesn’t mean you’re perfect right away. Hard work pays off! I wanted to become a Spirit Star because I hope that by sharing my story, I can inspire others to be the best version of themselves.
